I am writing an Excel application which needs write data to certain places in a Word document. I have created bookmarks in the Word document and from Excel, I open the file, update the bookmarks, save the file and close it.
I would like to be able to do this without actually opening the files...sort of like setting up links in Excel such that when the data changes in Excel, the data will automatically be updated in Word.
If this is not possible, what is the difference between fields code and bookmarks.
