Help with the Registry

Hello, I am having a problem with my registry.

File -> New
Select MFC ActiveX Control Wizard
Enter a project name (e.g. "mysig")
Ok,
Finish,
Ok,
Build -> build mysig.ocx

I get "0 errors, 0 warnings", but if I look closely it also says "Updating Registry.. Bad command or file name"

On other computers, there is no error and the control registers ok.

If there is a problem with my registry, wouldn't this mean I couldn't install other software? What files does the registry update attempt to access?
