I'm currently my only hard drive on my Win 2000 pro machine doesn't have active partition marked on the drive. Set active partion is greyed out in disk manager. I'm afraid the machine might not boot back up.

Any advice?

Don't worry your machine will boot, the reason why it is greyed out (Mark Partition Active) is because Windows prohibit you from altering it.
