I have a counter in this database that has been set up. (Example: 00213, 00214, 00215 etc). There are more people who access this database to get numbers. My problem is the number got voided out and now I need to add it back in to the database. (Example 00213, 00215) 00214 needs to be added back in. I need to do a query to let me add this record back in to the table.

If this is an autonumber field, you will continue to have issues as users begin creating a record and then cancel it. Autonumbers are generally kept out of view and it should make no difference what their value is.

That said, you can't add a record in the middle. I expect you could create a new table and append the records with values <214. Then add record for 214 and append the records in > 214.

I have spent 6 hours building 3 queries - when I went out of the DB file then and then came back I cannot open them. I can open other queries but the ones I worked on. When I click to open them the progam simply exits out of Access - Help????????

Not sure why you posted this in an existing thread. You might do better in new thread for your question.

You may be able to grab the sql by opening the debug window (Presss Ctrl+G) and enter
? CurrentDb.QueryDefs("YourQueryName").SQL

If you can't resovlve based on this information, please start a new thread.
