Help with pictures for a new user

Hello,

Sorry for the dumb question. I am working on a ad to be printed for a local grocery store. I save my picture in Photoshop as CMYK TIF. The problem is when I bring it into Quark. Now the picture becomes Grainy. What steps need to be taken to make the image look good?

Is the way the picture looks in Quark relevant to how it will look when printed ie. Grainy? Or is this not a problem? Please Help!

Quark shows a low resolution onscreen preview to keep your computer speedy and happy. The print dialog gives you the option to print in high resolution (for the final print) or low resolution (for a quick draft). Low res previews are standard in page layout applications.

Save the images as an EPS instead maybe! If you can't fix it in 20 minutes call someone who can.
