I was recording something important on my cam when i dropped it, it shut off and didn't finish writing the file properly, though the data is there(it shows 27min of video was recorded) the actual video file is 0 bytes in size and not viewable.

I've tried a few different recovery programs and none have worked so far

what type of DR software do I need to try? or some other way to fix it?

Thanks!

Hmmm...what is the medium used for storage? If it was mini-DVD then the file may not have been finalized, but I agree the data should be there...what is the make & model of the camera along with the type of storage used?

My worry is the recording may have been in an internal buffer and not yet written to media, but that is a remote possibility, that's why the camera's brand is important- everyone does things a little differently.

Hey Tony, the camera is a Pansonic SV-AV50 Dsnap type
the medium was an SD card
