Help with ima result dbconnect failure

Hello all,

I have a XPs farm that starting have problems with published applications. When a user log in they would get an error message stating that there aer no published applications currently available for this user. When I use the CMC and look under applications/properties/user it lists all the users who have permission for the application.

The farm has been up for 2 months without and issues. The problems started after the schedule reboot from last night.

Inside event viewer I have Event ID 3621, source IMAService. The description: The citrix metaframe serve failed to connect to the data store. Error - IMA_Result_DBConnect_Failure the database is down or there is a network failure.

I am running the datastore on a SQL 2000 box and it's up.

Did you try to restart the IMA service? It must connect to the data store or you will not get what app is published to whom.
We use Nfuse and have usually restarted the citrixxml service also.

Morning Jon,

Yes, I did stop and restart the IMAservice without any luck. Here's the kicker, I shut down the whole farm yesterday for about 30 minutes while I was researching the issue. After I brought it back on every thing was working again. All the published applications were there, at this point I still have not clue as to why the farm did what it did.
