Hello, i have this annoying problem with an xp user through the network, because i'm trying to access it asks me to connect as... and give the password, and i give the user login and password which the user normally logins into the system, then whats the real user and password?

Thanks for the help.

Are you saying the you have to log in twice??

Kind of sounds like this PC belonged to another domain
and was then physically connected to your domain. Could
you supply more details about your existing network and
the history of this PC??

thanks for your post, my netwrok is wireless, we don't have any domain controller.

So let me get this straight..

You have an XP computer, which you are trying to access over the network. It is asking you for a username and password when you try to connect to it, and you are supplying it with the username and password that the person sitting at that computer(the one you are connecting[\b] to normally uses. But it is not accepting it? Or is it accepting it?

If not, it may be looking for the administrator u/p.

yes, that's right, it is not accepting.
And the problem is that we don't have any administrator.

there has to be an administrator account on EVERY machine...
