Hi,

I have a 1408D phone that after plugging it gives me a message saying "No application software. System not responding" and the TFTP in started and working for the rest of the phones.
Is there a way to reset the firmware to the fabric values?
It is connected to a IPO500V1 with donggle card (not SD card) Release 7.
This is the only one phone receiving this message.
Thanks in advance.

Run manager on a pc and set the tftp to this pc and set the file server source to manager.
Then try again.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

Thanks tlpeter,

I already did it, the tftp is running in the Manager PC and it´s selected to run like that in the Manager application, but still the same.
That telephone shows this message just plugging it, it is not after a timeout, so I think even doesn´t check in the TFTP server to get the files. The TFTP is running with the rest of the phones but not with this one, it is like it has something different, that´s why I was asking about any reset firmware code.

Thanks.

Then it looks like it is broken.
You could try to swap it with a working phone to rule out a broken cable or port.

Thanks again tlpeter,

I already did it using the cable of a working telephone but the problem is with the telephone, should be something related with the firmware preinstalled.

Thanks again.

Did you try to use other digital port for that phone?

In my personal experience, we are encountering silly behaviour with updating phones, there will be a phone won't upgrade on particular digital port but if we swapped it to differnt port, phone will work and complete its update, once the phone is done we will replace it back to the digital port which it is originally terminated to.

A port already used for upgrading a digital phone wont update until a reboot is done of the IPO.

Yes, I was using a port of a telephone working properly, but I didn´t know what tlpeter say about if you already have loaded a firmware from a port you can not use the same port for load a new one until a reset of the PBX is done.
Did I undertand it well?
Thank you very much for your answers and your time.

Yes you did.
The port only allows one upgrade.
when you reboot the ipoffice then you can upgrade one phone again per port.

Thank you very much,
I will try to make a PBX reboot and see what happens.
Thanks.

Using Monitor, you can likely see what file the phone wants. Make sure you have that file available via tftp.
