I have created a 12 page booklet in quark but am having a bit of trouble saving it as a PDF, it either looks totally fragmented so you cant even see the pages or it goes allot lighter. What can I try?
Also how do I get the file size down?

Sometimes exporting directly from Quark to PDF can be a little unreliable. You could try creating a postscript file from Quark instead, and use Distiller to convert that to a PDF. Just pick a postscript enabled printer and print to file. Distiller will also give you a few options to get the file size down (mind you, so does Quark). Have a look for the compression options. Here, you can downsample images to a lower resolution and/or use a heavier compression.

Try Jaws PDF Creator (it works on wins.. dont know about mac). It installs as printer or as prog. It works nice and perfect!
