We set up a server to run reports (REPORTSERVER) and it pulls fox pro databases off of our main server (MAINSERVER). The problem that we have is that when REPORTSERVER makes a request for the data off of MAINSERVER (either through Crystal Reports or Web Component Server through our intranet), it takes a minute or sometimes several minutes just to access the data. Once it is connected, then the data pulls rather quickly. Here’s the statistics about our computers, and thanks for your help!

MAINSERVER
Windows 2000 Advanced Server
Intel 10/100 Pro+ NIC
Static IP Address

REPORTSERVER
Windows 2000 Professional
D-Link 10/100 NIC
Dynamic IP Address
Crystal Reports 8.5 Professional
Crystal Enterprise 8.0 Standard

Both computers are on the same subnet. Database is connected through ODBC Fox Pro Driver 6.0xx.

Thank you!
