I know how to add a legal notice on a workstation but how is it done to be a global notice. Any pointers gratefully recieved

This can be done by modifying the following registry key:

HKLM Software/Microsoft/Windows Nt/Current Version/Winlogon/LegalNoticeCaption.

This key is set to the default "", which indicates that it is blank. By modifying this you will have a legal notice on startup.

I understand that will work on a pc by pc basis but how can I deploy this to all pc's in one go ?

Brain damage!!! I did this last year!!! I knew better than to take a vacation last summer...

script the regedit entry... include the little ".reg" in Netlogon... forgot how...

Sheesh!!! I've been hanging out with salesmen too much!!! JTB

Err, can't you do it through System Policy Editor on the domain controller(s)?
