Hi!
I need some help recovering a document. I was typing a report when all of a sudden I must have accidentally hit the 'alt' key and kept typing and when I looked up at the screen I had quit Word without saving the file!! In the options inside Word, it is set to save an autorecover file every minute, so I'm wondering if anyone is aware of how I could retreive those temporary autorecover files?!
I found the filename with the first two characters replaced by ~$ in the original directory, but when I open it in Word, a bunch of garbage shows up on the screen. This file is also only 1K in size. Is this some kind of compressed file or something?? How can I read this file? and am I on the right track....?!
Thanks!
