My Win 2000 Server suddenly stopped emitting sound when preview playing files from explorer. All other sounds play OK .. but when browsing files from explorer, i can see the playhead moving, indicating that the files is being played but i hear nothing, I also use morpheus to play music, that has stopped emitting sounds too. Uninstalled and reinstalled morpheus without much success.

Is there a configuration to tell Win2000 Server to regain this partial loss back???

Any help appreciated. Who's that girl! :)

What types of files are played bad?Does it happens only with one extension(e.g. mp3) or wit all?Did you try to reinstall sound driver and Windows multimedia support?
