Hello
I will be thankfull if any one clarifies few things here for me:
I have a Win2000 server hosting our DNS. This server is front end DNS server and host about 100 zones. This is a standalone Win2000 server.
I will be puting another DNS server. This server will be Win2003 server. Both these servvers will be in same subnet.
The new 2003 DNS will be secondary DNS server.
My question her is:
1) Will doing zone transfers from primary DNS(2000) to new secondary DNS(2003) can be done without making any special changes.
2) Do I have to manualy create all the 100 forward zones and about 50 reverse zones on the new DNS manualy or they will be created automaticaly during zone transfer.

Any sugestions and help on this will be highly appreciated.

1) yes they will transfer without making any special changes

2) yes they will be created when you transfer them from the master - no need to create them ahead of time.

Good luck,
