We have a product. We need to EDI enable the same for X12 standards. This product has it’s own language. This product can understand only Java objects.

We need an EDI Translator, which can parse any ANSI X12 EDI document & encapsulate data in Java objects. Same way the translator should be able to read data form Java objects & generate ANSI X12 EDI document out of it. The reason behind encapsulating data in Java objects is that it can be then read & also populated by our product. This EDI translator should be able to work both on NT and also Sun as our product also works on both the platforms.

We have few quires about Translator products.

Do you know any EDI Translator which work on both Unix/Window NT platform?
Do you know any Translator which support X12 standards. If yes then which versions of the same. (i.e. 4010, 4020, 4030, 4040 etc)
Do you konw any Translator which give output in form of Java objects? Generally most of the Translator gives text file as an output.

Yes, see There is a product SpecBuilder and its 'kernel' (ECRS) is available from Unix and from Windows. This product support a lot of transactions, including all X12, all Edifact, GENTRAN and many more. John Fill
