We currently have a 2600 based router with a expansion module for T1 wics. All 4 slots are T1 wics with PTP T1's in them. Now my boss wants to add an additional 2600 and repeat the proceeds.

IS there any other way to do this more efficiently?

I want it to be more efficient. In stead of just stacking 2600 on top of 2600 with PTP t1's

If this is for redundancy, then I don't see anything more efficient.

If it's to add 4 more remote sites via P-P T1's, then it might be more "efficient" to get a bigger router, like a 3700-series with more WIC slots.

If I was setting up a WAN with 8 remote sites, I'd definitely think it's more efficient, and more resilient, to use Frame Relay or MPLS than 8 P-P links.
