Hi
Does anyone know whether it is possible to number records in a subform? I have managed to do this on a report using the Running Sum property on a textbox but you can't use a Running Sum property on a text box in a subform. I don't want an Autonumber because that will number all the records in the subform table and not just the ones on the form ie; if the record on the main form is changed then the subform should be numbered 1,2,3 etc for each record in the subform. I hope this all makes sense and I haven't made it confusing. All help would be appreciated!!

Thanks

Not sure if this would work, but have you tried putting a textbox with the controlsource:

=Form.CurrentRecord

which stores numeric values for each record.

Hi John

Thanks for your help. I gave it a go and it just numbers all the records as 1! Its a start though so I'm gonna have a look to see if there is a way of adapting it.
