Help no more controls allowed !!

Hi all

Im making a system and just tried to add a new txtbox and a error msg came up saying i have reached the limit for controls !! Is there any way to get round this or do i have populate the rest of the info onto new forms, although currently i was using tabs i could use multiple forms but i prefered the to use the tabs.

Some Form you (and your users) are getting into there!

The limit you have hit is probably for the 256 Control names, you are not limited to 256 Controls though because a Control Array only consumes one name.

Could be you are working on an experiment, if not you should really consider shifting some of the interface out onto other Forms.

Past experience has shown me that the practical limit of # of controls on a form is about half the max (around 128). Once you go much above that you start having performance problems, and things sometimes act wonky. Plus the users have a tough time using such a form.

I would split your form up into 2 (or more) forms.

I have started to make control arrays on me SStabs but when i change to different tabs the array txt boxes dont move with the tabs they stay where they are made
