I've just taken control of the supervisor programme for Busines Objects in my office and have been assigned several tasks which i'm currently unable to do.

Basically i need to restrict acces for a group of users so that they can only open and refresh reports but not modify them in any way or create new ones.

We don't have the broadcast agent software and we're on an NT platform if this makes a difference.

you can manage the security at a number of levels, start with group levels though, moving individual permissions away from inherit for specific users can complicate later tasks.

1.Select your userid on which you what to put some restriction.
2. In the configuration tab dbl click document. You will get security settings.
3. select document
4. select data provider manipulation. Change disble option in the status tab.

Continue the same for the remaining setting.

Hope this will help you
