I have 2 computers networked together at home. I have a Win2k desktop that my printer is physically hooked to and a WinXP Home laptop that is connect via wireless link. When i first setup my wireless link laptop i was able to browse and setup the printer from the Win2k pc and print to it. All i did was install my network card and print without changing any settings. Now, for whatever reason I cannot print to it from the laptop nor browse and add it.

I've run the Network Setup wizard on the WinXP laptop but it still won't allow me to browse and find the printer. I can print fine from the Win2k desktop.

How can I fix this?

shouldnt be b/c, like i said before, i was able to print and browse before even with the firewall. i'll turn off the fire wall and see what happens.

Also, I checked all those links and none had info that helped me.

Don't surf without any firewall protection.

Can you ping each machine from the other?

Check both machines IP addresses to make sure they're correct. Is File and Print Sharing For Microsoft Networks, and Client for Microsoft Networks, still enabled in the LAN Properties?
