HELP NEEDED, with mouseover issue

I desperately need to know how to create the images slide over one another on mouseover and come back to its original x position when mouse out, these images are buttons or hyperlinked. Very similar to the front page menu of

http://www.carters.com

I looked every tutorial on the net but couldn't find it. PLEASE PLEASE HELP!!
