Hi there, I have just had to uninstall my Nortons AV as it has expired, and I am not in a possie to buy another one, so I have installed AVG Antivirus, which seems to be doing a sterling job. I also have Download accelerator, which has the option of scanning any downloaded files. This wasnt a problem with Nortons, as I just pointed it to Nav32.exe, and the file was scanned after downloading it. If I point DAP to the AVG executable, AVG Launches, but it only launches the console, and the file doesnt get scanned. From within DAP options interface, in the "after download" box, there is a space for the Antivirus exe and also a space marked "Scanner options-Command line parameters", which is blank. AVG has a windows shell interface so you can right click a file, and select Scan with AVG.This starts the scanning engine. So I guess to make this program to automatically scan a file, I guess a "run command" has to be inserted into the "scanner options" in DAP Options. The exe files in AVG r as follows:
AVGSE.EXE
AVGSCAN.EXE (DOS ICON)
AVG.EXE (DOS ICON)

The other .exe's can be launched in windows and dont scan files :)

What would the run command be please to get the program to scan incomings. the path to the program folder is C:\Program Files\Grisoft\AVG6

I am sorry for the long winded post, people.
