Help needed to produce a slide show with timeline. 1

I am a novice DW user and want to have 4 images produce a slide shoe effect. I have inserted 4 layers on top of each other, have inserted an image into each layer and put the layers and the images on to a timeline. When I play the timeline - nothing!

Can anyone tell me where I am going wrong?
