help needed in Report Generation

hi friends,

i m developing one customization work in VC++. In that i want to store a set of data in the form of Spreadsheet, mean rows and columns(i.e the resultant file should be stored like, say Sample.xls ). and the user should able to open that in MS Excel Appliaction. How to do implement this?. whether there exists any control?. or any article?. please help me..

Hello!

I would use one of 2 ways for this. The simplest way is writing everything into a tab delimited file and call it anything with .xls. Excel is able to open it.

The other way would be: Create a html-file containing a table with all formatting you need. Excel is also able to oben this file, but here you have all formatting.

Comma delimited .csv files are also native to Excel.
