goto page 5 and set the 3 items relating to conference.

Hope this helps!

It will depend on which version you have.
The standard conference call is limited 6 (you + 5)
The newer software has the ability to setup a conference bridge that can handle more.

A work around if you are caught by the restriction
have a coworker make some of the calls and you make the others, each of you reserving a spot for the connection between you. The connection between you and the cowroker also has to go out and back into the switch.

my sys feat is max at 6, the only thing about your work aropund is that we only can call the outside # once in the morning and then confrence as many station to the call. not sure if there can be any work around that

With the latest release of software there have been no increases to the number of callers on a conference call. A total of 6 callers (you plus 5) can be included in a call (I believe older lower end versions, like guestworks or BCS systems, may have been limited to 3 callers.)

You can daisy chain a conference call. To do this you would call another station on the switch by calling out of the system and coming back in (by this I mean call the actual full DID number of the phone so that you go out of the switch to the CO and come back into the switch or by using a tie trunk that goes out of the system and comes back in) and adding additional callers from this phone. By doing this you are basically tricking the system into thinking that the new phone is on a totally separate call.

One of the problems with this is that because you basically have two or more conferences that are "unintelligently" bridged, the system will not be able to amplify the callers from one conference so that the volume is good for the other conference. You can think of this like a water pipe that feeds 5 sprinkler heads, and each sprinkler head gets the same amount of water, but when you connect one of the sprinkler heads to a pipe that has 5 more sprinkler head things go bad. The four remaining sprinkler heads will continue to get the same amount of water as before, but the 5 new ones will only get one sprinkler head worth of water.

Sorry for the long winded response!

I hope this helps!

Another solution is to add a conference bridge in the form of an already existing Avaya product called the IP Office. You can connect the IP Office to the Definity with T1/PRI. The IP Office will support up to 64 people in a conference call and you can enter the conference via DID with a PIN number for verification. You can have up to two 64 party conference calls simultaneously. All bridging the capability is built right into either the IP406 base system or the IP412 base system. In January, the IP Office will be specially labeled for this exact application of a conference bridge behind the Definity.
