Help in src ip address

HI, I need to obtain the ip source from an external machine, I don't know how to do this, perhaps a cript or something? please I need help. This information is used by the log server, but I need it to run a user defined script

pinging a server provides the IP address but i think you may be looking for somthing a little more complex.

Yes I need something more complex, but i do it I goot dinamically the ip source from an intruder

Could you explain in a little more detail what you are trying to achieve?

Normally if an intruder is attacking your network/firewall, you will see the IP address in your logs.

I do it, I obtain the direction fron an intruder and I block it with fw sam command, I do it with an script, thanks
