cust is auto dealership, which had 2 attendants going to audix , then to selector to sales in each showroom getting lost with all the cover & hunt groups tring to combine into 1 group, is it possible to have all sales phones ring at one time, does not want ringing over paging,do legends & magix's , but can't quite understand these cvr & hunt group, also if i take all the sale phones out of vm cvr & put into a cvr to return to operator's, can they send to direct vm
can you make all sales phones ring at one time? yes but the maximum is 8 extensions.
you can create a coverage answer group (add cov ans x. x being the answer group number).
create a coverage path (add coverage path x) and on point 1 enter cx (x being the coverage answer group number)and on point 2 put attd or 0 (for the operator)
build a hunt group or a phantom extension and assign the coverage path you have just built.
when a call comes in, the operator can transfer the call to the hunt group or phantom extension. all 8 station rings at the same time. if the call is not answered within the specified number of rings, then it goes back to operator. Operator can then transfer caller to a sales person voice mail using transfer to voice mail extension.
does the cX on the path always show the cvr ans grp or station, the reason i ask is on the phantom from selector code 1 go to a cvr path 28, when i look at cvr path 28 point 1 show it goes to c 8 when i look at cvr path 8 it goes to a station, when i look at the station it has a cvr path to attd, it looks confusing to say because 6 other station ring
c8" is coverage-answer group 8, not coverage path 8. Use "disp cov ans 8" to view the members of coverage-answer group 8.
