Hi all,
I just have a problem about importing a image from photoshop without the background. That's made me crazy!!
I cut out an image with path, then I delete the background and save as .eps. However, when I import it into Quarkxpress, it still have the white background, which comes with the image.
Does anyone know what format I should save and how I can import an image without background?
thx so much!!

Or use an alpha channel and save in TIFF format (including the alpha channel of course).

You can also activate the path from within Quark (depending on what version you are using).
Select the box with the picture in. Hit command+m (ctrl+m for windows). You should get an item properties dialog. Go to clipping and choose your path from the list. It's pretty self explanatory.* - see note below.

The safest way though is to make your path a clipping path from within photoshop and save the file as an eps.

*NOTE: I might not have this exactly right as I kind of do it on autopilot and I don't have Quark to hand. Please correct me if necessary!
