My Norton Antivirus 2002 detected an IRC Trojan Virus on my computer. It couldn't repair it. So I manually searched for all files and registry keys I could after reading some threads on this forum and links. All the references mention HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run but I didn't find anything there. I also read the article on the symantec website which mentioned the same thing.

I found tones of references to ps, kill, mirc, irc, taskmangr, server and etc under explored bars and internet explorer registry keys. Originally Norton detected it under windows\system32\netstack32. I deleted that entire directory. I am still worried that I have that virus on my computer is there anyway I could confirm for sure that I have deleted it besides formatting my HD. Thanks in advance.
