Does anyone know if there is a way to count distinct records in Crystal Reports? ie/ Count the distinct number of userid's that are printed on a report?

Record Sales Report By Day

User 198 Sold 10 records on Jan 12
User 199 Sold 8 records on Jan 12
User 198 Sold 11 records on Jan 13

Unique Users No Records Sold
2 29

Thanks in advance,

Sorry I should clarify one thing. I'm currently using the DistinctCount() function to find the distinct number of users. Unfortunately, it seems to be summing for the entire report. I need it to sum by group if possible. For example...

Record Sales Report By Day

Joe's Sales Team

User 198 Sold 10 records on Jan 12
User 199 Sold 8 records on Jan 12
User 198 Sold 11 records on Jan 13

JOE TOTALS: Unique Users: 2 No Records Sold: 29

Sally's Sales Team
User 201 Sold 2 records on Jan 12
User 207 Sold 8 records on Jan 12
User 208 Sold 10 records on Jan 13

SALLY TOTALS: Unique Users: 3 No Records Sold: 20

Thanks Again!!

Have you tried creating a running total using the distinct count summary method and resetting at the group?

Unless there are some underlying complexities, that should work.

You can also insert a summary field for that group and select distinct count. Ken Hamady, On-site/Phone Crystal Reports Training/Consulting
