Let me first say that I'm not a huge fan of C++. I'm not good at using it, nor do I enjoy using it. I know the basics, but that's about it.

That being said, I'm hoping that you can help me. I'd like to use colours and position things on the screen in different locations (similar to gotoxy() in C).

How would I do this in C++? What files would I need to include? Is there anything else I would need to know?

Thanks in advance.

Those kinds of console features are platform specific, so it depends on what OS you have as well as what compiler you are using.

Look at the console tutorial at this site, it might help you with what you need:

Some addition for grande: no any gotoxy() in C too. It's (Borland?) platform-specific extension in C (and BC++) DOS console implementations (unforgettable Turbos conio.h;)...
