I have a Cisco 501 setup with two external IPs:
xx.yy.32.19 (interface) netmask 255.255.255.0
xx.yy.32.124 (outside) netmask 255.255.255.0
The "port 0" (interface) is plugged into a Zyxel router/bridge, which is providing DSL through Speakeasy. The Zyxel is currently in BRIDGED mode.
And after about 24 hours of perfect routing/operation, the Cisco seems to stop sending or receiving to the outside/external IPs. Internal traffic fails as well.
I thought maybe the network masks were wrong, so I've tried both 255.255.255.0 (what Speakeasy told me) and 255.255.255.255 (what my friend told me) -- both will fail after 12-24 hours of usage. So maybe it's something else causing the problem?
I'm totally stumped on this one. If needed, I can post my config. And before anyone suggests I buy a Cisco book, I already have, and I spent this entire last weekend getting my configuration built.
Thanks in advance.
