I have had some trouble sending mail to certain domains. When we contacted the domains in question we were given this response:
The reason this is happening is due to the fact it can't pass the HELOBOGUS test.
HELOBOGUS - This test will detect invalid HELO (or EHLO) data. For example, one major spammer now sends E-mail claiming to be from a mailserver called "$domain", which is not the name of a real mailserver. The HELOBOGUS test will catch that.
You are sending from "uwgc.org" but the email server says it is "otis.uwgc.org" . The MX or DNS servers do not have this information on your network.
What can I do, short of renaming my mail server? Is there a way to edit the headers?
Thanks
