Ive been a lurker for some time and finaly joined because it looks like some people here know there stuff anyway I need some feedback for a Home Lab and eventually certification : I have 3 Cisco 2621's /3 Cisco 2900-M-XL's /2 Cisco 2611's that I want to replace/integrate into an existing home lan consisting of 1 Westell Bridge /1 Linksys BEFSR41 Router doing PPOE to my DSL ISP /1 Linksys BEFSR41W (using as WAP) /2 Dlink 5 port switches with a W2K domain controller on the LAN.
Having said that heres my dillema I already have 2 2900's online doing trunking via ISL all users are still on VLAN 1 because 2621 is offline and no VLAN routing on linksys available cannot use 2621 until I upgrade memory and load IOS 12.3(5B) current IOS is 12.2(4)T-3 I.P.
Question 1: is can I implement 2611's as HSRP routers to the 2900's with each of them plugging into my linksys
for Inet access ?
Question 2: what is max speed capability of HD60/HSSI I've read some stuff where you can simulate frame relay switch via back to back /can I do HSRP over DTE-DCE on 2611's & 2621 to 2900's via ethernet for Inet access when 2621 goes online?
I know this is a lot but based on my previous readings I know some of you guys can offer some guidance! which I really need.
All thanks in advance.
