Hello All,
I need some help.
I have been directed to work out how to connect the Meridian Option 11C at the headquarters office to the branch office, such that my Boss at the headquarters office can talk to any staff at the branch office on the intercom line.

Please how do I go about this?

Can I link via the internet?

Any contribution is welcomed.

Same equipment as in the Headquarters office - Nortel meridian option 11C.

Call your local carrier and get a point to point PRI. Get yourself a couple of TMDI cards. Plug one in at each site. The create a really cool ESN dialing plan that each site can dial a specific access code (one digit like 5...) and then the extension of the remote user, and poof, he's talking to that remote user. Of course, this is gonna cost you a few of grand, including your time to program it, but what the hay. It's your boss, and he's just too lazy to dial 10 digits...
If you have Cisco routers at each end, you could just get a couple of Analog Modules and plug them into a couple of analog lines at each end and do the same thing.

thanks DocVic, I really want to achieve this inter-connection via the internet. So please explain further on how I can get on with the cisco router.

Has any one any idea how I can achieve the interconnection of the two sites using any means on internet inter-connection?

Can ITG gateways make this come true for me?

Pick up a couple of Cisco Analog Station Modules for your router. Plug them in and configure them at both sites. Then wire them to two analog trunk lines on your PBX. Program your route and dialing plan. Test and let them go. Pretty easy.

Thanks DocVic, But the main reason I want the two sites to interconnect via the internet is because I cannot get Trunk lines to either of the locations now. There is good internet connectivity at both sites.

I really want to go with internet interconnectivity.

Well, if you don't have a router at the remote site, you can use SIP trunk ports from a DSL connected PC. You can use MagicJack ports for cheap, or something like that. Going cheap is not in your best interest because of call quality, but it's up to you.
