HD do not ciew from O.S.

Hi, i have this problem:

i have a new secondary HD(120 GB) and in my bios i look that, but when my win 2000 start i do not view my secondary HD.
In Computer Management windows view my HD , but the HD is not alloted (sorry but i'm italian and i do not know the exact term, however is a black color.)

You need to use disk management (run diskmgmt.msc) to partition and format the new drive. Just right click on the area shown and you will see a menu.
