Hi, does anyone know what might be wrong on my computer, I cannot open the network folders at our company, I have one computer with all the network files eveyrone needs to access, and have all the user accounts entered in on that system with passwords, but for some reason my computer and one other persons computer here cannot open up the network folders? everyone else I can go onto there system and open them right up, we all have xp pro here and not sure what I'm doing wrong, it just gives the same message below,
\\server\company is not accessible, you might not have permission to use network resource? any ideas? Thanks

hmmmm I just turned off my msn firewall or whatever they give you from that download, but besides that nothing else is on, so I don't know what it could be, unless the shared folders are not set up right, but I can get to them on the other 6 computers, just not mine and someone elses, thank you.

Some virus scanners have a mini firewall included in them too.

Remember that allowing Everyone access is not good enough in certain folder areas:

. Shared Documents is a local user folder, not network
. Windows as a folder
. Program Files as a folder
. and ANY user folder or subfolder under a user Profile

While under the NTFS filestore you could work around these issues of default Security, you cannot under the FAT32 filestore.
