Hi everybody, I am having a wicked problem trying to reload XP Pro onto mydesktop again. Everytime I go to load the files it would say cant load such and such a file from the CD and it would happend a bunch of times. I have used a new XP Pro cd to test and that wasn't it. I also tryed reformating thr drive not a quick format. Hardrive, cd-rom drive, IDE cable and nothing seems to be helping. Any suggestions??

If you're sure its not the media (works with another PC?) and the CD ROM drive (you have tried another?), then you've probably got a hardware problem of some kind. I'd start by looking at RAM - if > 1 stick, try running with just one - try each. If no change, try disconnecting/disabling as much hardware as you can and still install XP (connect back one at a time if it works).
