Having multiple instances of SMS in one forest.

I am at a company that has an outsourced company that runs active directory and SMS 2.0. I am in a group that runs servers that are in the forest. We want to install sms 2003 and have it interact with the forest but not touch any of there servers. Is there a way to run 2 instances of SMS on the same network and schema without interfering with each other?
