Having a problem starting a project

I start Premiere 5.1, import a clip, drag it into the source view, and then hit play. Every time I get the same message:

"Premiere has caused an error in QUARTZ.DLL. Premiere will now close."

Does anyone know what the problem is, and how I can get around this annoyance? [sig][/sig]

I had the same problem and have fixed it. You need to reinstall Microsoft Direct X drivers (quartz.dll is one of these) Go to

http://www.microsoft.com/directx/

I installed the 8.0a drivers and it has so far fixed the problem.
