Am I getting by this date "System BIOS Date 01/16/02" that the bios have never been flashed or at least since this date?

That's the date the BIOS was written (16 Jan 2002), and is the current BIOS in your machine. Impossible to tell if your machine had a previous BIOS version that has been upgraded by this (01/16/02) one...

??? huh??? Bios is a firmware program and is written to the chip...EEPROM...electronically eraseable programmable read only memory.

That is the date the BIOS firmware was written, NOT the date it was flashed to your motherboard. If you had a file copy of this BIOS firmware, you could flash it to your motherboard today, but the date you'd see on the screen when booting up would still show as 01/16/02.

I've updated my BIOS twice, and it still shows the original BIOS date. I guess "BIOS" programs don't show update "dates".

Micker 377 - could be my error here! Think I'm confusing it with the VERSION number which of course DOES update. Apologies.
