Help have lost 3 gig afterdoing an Fdisk with a logical partion I have split up my 10 gig drive into 50% 30% & 20 % but windows doesnt seem to find the final 30... what have I don or not done ?

Please dont tell me I have to reformat again...

Can fdisk see the 3 partitions?

If yes, have you formatted the 30% partition?

Sort of !!!

It only shows 2 drives but if you try and set the third drive to active it sayys that there are no more drives to partition !

You shouldn't have to set a partition active to format it. Setting it active is so that it may boot an operating system. If you boot from a floppy can you see all the drives in a DOS environment? If you switch to it and it says "invalid media type" then it needs to be formatted, if it says "invalid drive specification" then there is something wrong with the partition. You should be able to see all three from fdisk though.
