Have anyone seen these error before?
We have Networker V6.1 Unix running backup for 5 clients in DMZ. The backup server is also in DMZ.
The connection ports are from 10001-10101 and people in network group don't want to open more ports.
Are these errors because lack of ports?
What does it mean: "suppressed 72 lines of output" ?

Thanks.

Unsuccessful savesets
*client1:index savegrp: suppressed 72 lines of output
*client1:index save: Cannot bind socket to connection port in configured port range on system servername1
*client1:index save: Cannot bind socket to connection port in configured port range on system servername1
*client1:index save: Cannot bind socket to connection port in configured port range on system servername1

*client1:index save: RPC warning: RPC cannot make a procedure call: Create failed: Remote system error - Cannot assign requested address
*client1:index

That's exactly it. Increasing the ports should solve your problem.

100 ports is less than less for the connection port-range
I think the minimum of connection-ports is 6000 but it refer's to your config(parallelism, devices....)
the default port range for Connection-ports: 10001 - 30000
Service-ports: 7937 - 9936

you can change the settings with the command: nsrports -S <service-p> -C <connection-p>

client1:index savegrp: suppressed 72 lines of output

NetWorker supresses lines in output when the output is shall we say, "lengthy" (to avoid from using too much memory during backups).

Unfortunately, should there be problems during backups, the actual cause of the problems could be lost in the lines that were supressed.

If this occurs, you can tell NetWorker not to supress lines in the log by creating the file:

UNIX: /nsr/debug/NO_SUPPRESS
WINDOWS: %SystemDrive%\Program Files\nsr\debug\NO_SUPPRESS

Then stop and start NetWorker services
