Have a list and want to be able to populate a cell if true

Hey guys, I need a little help on something I have a list of dates in column B and a list of numbers in column A. In a cell I would like to be able to enter the date and have it return the corresponding number. I have done this before but forget how. I know I use an if then but do I also use the find function? Thanks

You might need to use the Vlookup function in addition to the Help Menu

I don't know how you are fixin to "enter the date", but it can be kinda tricky...
