We recently upgraded from CM 2.2 to CM 3.1.1 and are having issues with the link to CMS. it seems to be flapping. There are 2 other ACD's on the CMS that are working fine. Anyone seen this issue with CM3.1 before or have any ideas? So far Avaya is still " looking into it

Not that it has much to do with the upgrade but I have run into a similar issue in the past. In our case, the ACD in question was connected to the CMS by a cross-over ethernet cable from the CLAN (the other ACDs were over the company ethernet). They used a cross-over connector and a piece of CAT-3 cable on the back of the CMS machine to convert our normal CAT-5 to a cross-over (Avaya indicated that this is very common). The tech I spoke with had me replace the cables and connector with a single CAT-5 cross-over cable and it resolved the issue for us. Not sure if this will help or not, but there it is.

I appreciate the suggestion but apparently it was some kind of issue with a time stamp on the data sent across the link that CMS didn't like. They had to patch both the CM software as well as the CMS informix DB. all is currently well but the lesson here is never go to the "latest and greatest" release of software. Always let others beta test for ya. :)
