Has anyone experienced the Menu Freezing in Oneworld ERP8.0
Were running Oracle 9iclient with Oracle 8iDatabase. we've tested this thinking this could be the problem but Oracle 9i and 8 client both performed the same and we still had problems with Menu freezing. don't know what else to check .
 
OK so were maybe thinking it's not the DB but could be the network or it's the JD Edwards Application.
The freezing on the Menu and sometimes just opening the application is random .....the fact that the application is freezing upon opening proves that it's not the Database .
 
I suspect that your local PC's specs are corrupted. You can simply go to the PC in question. Go to its \B7\PD7333\spec folder and delete or rename the DDICT, DDTEXT and GLBLTBL.xdb-ddb files into something like DDDICT_Old.xdb and ddb and the log back into JDE. This will force the server to redeploy and refresh the PC's specs file.

Also, you could re-install JDE on that PC taking into account that you might have to re-deploy several updates since you last did your full package build.
 
Go into Batch version and Run R92TAM and and then R98CRTGL to rebuild your Spec files.

Override the location and run them Locally.
