Just wondering if this update has caused anyone issues installing it. I am interested in the many performance related fixes included in it. I currently have a Exchange 2000 server on a Windows 2000 server (Windows SP4 and Exchange SP3 w/march 2003 rollup). I also have Groupshield 5.2, Backup Exec 8.6 with Exchange option and GFI's ME 9.
Server is a Compaq ML370 with 2 p3 800 CPU's, a RAID 1 (2x 18GB) and RAID 5 (4x 18GB)disks and 1 GB Ram.
I have been experiencing slow performance, particularly with my Pre Submission queue backing up. This has caused both internal and external mail delivery to slow down (was almost immediate before ME, but now can be delayed upto 15 minutes). I have contact GFI support and was directed to update to latest build, which I have done. Still performance suffers.

I've installed it on about 20 servers and seen no ill effects....

I applied the update over the weekend and performance is better. I have also turned off auto-learning of my spam filter (GFI's ME9) and this too has improved performance.

I just got word that we will be replacing the hardware of our exchange server with a new ML 370 G3 w/ 2 Xeon 3.06 CPU's. 2 GB ram and 6 36 GB scsi drives. That should do for a couple more years.
