I currently have an Nortel MICS that I installed about 2 years ago. Right now the lines coming in are Analog. We are getting a PRI line. Here is what I am replacing:

4x0 LS / DS Caller ID Fiber Trunk Card
4x0 Fiber DID Trunk Card
2 - 4x0 LS/DS Fiber Trunk Cards
Here is what I am getting:
Digital T1 Card
6 Port Fiber Combo Expansion Card.

A couple of questions. Will I need to re-program my stations? Is this a fairly intense upgrade to do (I did certify with nortel back when we first did this project). Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Chad

You will have to change the station programming to access the PRI. The Target line programming should be alright.
I did not see a PRI Keycode, you will need that also.
One more question what software are you running because there were issues with some of the earlier RLS and PRI.

Thanks for the reply. I am also buying the keycode. Software from the system version says 30DEC04. Is that they version you needed?

Does that mean I will need to re-program the extensions?

That should be 7.0 or 7.1 you should be fine with the software. No the only real programming you should have to do is:
The PRI itself
Route and Desti Code to go out the PRI
Give phones access to PRI

So it should be something I can get through, considering I did the analog install?

I did a similar set-up last week. As long as you are used to programming Target Lines & DID's you should have no problems. If you are in a 10 digit dialing area don't forget to change your default dialing prefix to 10 digits.
