Hardware Profiles Disappearing

Hello everyone,

I have Dell Latitude laptops C and D series running windows 2000Pro. All with latest updates, SP4. They have 4 different profiles for security reasons. All profiles are tested to make sure all is working. The profiles seem to disappear on different machines for no reason. All the machines are configured the same way with software and hardware.

This has been an on going problem that first started 2 years ago. It then seemed that I had it fixed, but started again a couple of weeks ago. In the last month I have had two machines loss one or two profiles. Any Ideas?
